Easton’s first birthday party went GREAT!
However, this is not going to be your typical “how to throw the best themed birthday party ever” post… In this post, I’m going to tell you why his party went so well and attach some awesome pictures from the day as well.
It was not themed, That’s right… My sons first birthday party did NOT have a theme.
I didn’t have to stress at all about where to find monster truck paper plates or sailboat cups. We bought regular paper plates & cups from Walmart. We cooked hotdogs and burgers on the grill & ordered 30 “happy birthday” cupcakes from Sams Club. Want to know what the best part was? Everyone had a great time and I didn’t have to stress out at all over how well it would go. 25 of our close family and friends showed up and spent the day celebrating his first year of life with us. I will say that at first Easton had no idea what to do with the cupcake when it was time to smash it. After a little bit of instruction, he went to town and the cupcake was all over him, the high chair & the floor.
If I had any advice for someone planning their child’s first birthday party it would be to relax and just enjoy yourself. They won’t remember it & everyone who attends is just there to celebrate your child’s first year of life. They aren’t going to care about if you have matching paper plates and cups or if your cupcakes are themed. So just take a deep breathe relax and enjoy their special day. Below I have attached some pictures of Easton’s party!
Easton was tuckered out by the end of the party!
