For the month of May I have started a blogging challenge where I will be publishing a new post based off of provided prompts. One of the prompts for today was “What are your goals?” I chose to talk about my long-term goals today as I feel they are more unique.
My number one long-term goal in life is to have a positive outlook on everything i do. As many of you know, I struggle with depression in my day to day life and I fully believe that keeping a positive outlook has helped me beyond belief. I do occasionally slip up and start to think negatively, however that’s when I change my thought process back to positive thinking. I fully believe if you train your mind to think positivity even in the worst of situations then soon it will automatically start to think that way.
My second and third goal in life go hand in hand together; All my life I have wanted to be a mother. When we would sit in class and the teacher would as us what we wanted to be when we grew up, I would say “a stay at home mom.” As you can imagine, I got some weird looks about that. However, It is extremely difficult for the women in my family to be able to carry a baby to term and have he or she born healthy. For me to have my son, Easton, is a miracle. Being a mother is one of the best gifts God could have given me. But not only do I strive to be a good mother but I also strive to raise a good man. Easton is only 9 months old right now, But it is never too early to start teaching manners & how to be respectful to children. I fully believe in “Yes Sir & No Ma’am” along with moving so the elderly can have a seat.
My fourth long-term goal is to be a good wife. Now for those of you who don’t know, I got married at 18 and it didn’t work out. We got divorced but still co-parent for our son. However I am engaged to the most amazing man and I fully intend to be the best wife I can possibly be for him. Im one of those people who believes if he goes out and works all day, then he should come home to a clean house and warm food on the table. Being a good wife means different things to different people however to me it means being the best I can be each and everyday for him.
Now that we’ve talked about me, I would love to hear about what some of your long-term goals in life are! Leave me a comment down below of your top 3 long-term goals in life.
